Dahi Vada



RECEIPE OF DAHI VADA:


To change the taste of daily foods and meals there must be some different taste. One dish of that kind dish is Dahi Vada. This is very easy and tasty dish. Now we will make Dahi Vada today.

Ingredients: 


Urad Dal ( white lentil ) : 200 gms

Curd/Dahi : 500-600gms

Ginger : few cut sliced

Garlic : 5-6 cut sliced

Salt : As per taste

Hing (Asafoetida ) : 1-2 pinch

Mint/ coriander leaves : 8-10leaves

Cumin powder : one spoon

Black pepper Powder : 01 spoon

Red Chili powder : Half spoon

Chat masala : 1 spoon

Vegetable Oil : to fry the Vada

Baking/Meetha Soda : half Spoon


Method: 

Soak the urad dal in water for 4-5 hours, wash it and drain the urad dal. Mix urad dal with ginger, garlic, mint leaves and few amount of salt and grind to a smooth paste in a blender. Add meetha/baking soda and hing to in urad dal paste and mix it well till the fluffy and light, we can put few drops of water also if required.

Your paste is ready to fry. Now add few oils in the frying pan. Let it becomes hot. Now make small amount of urad dal mixture like circle in shape. It should be like 2.5” in diameter. Deep fry in hot oil on slow flame till the vadas becomes golden brown. Now put all fried vadas in tissue paper aside. Take 1-1.5ltr warm water in a pot and soak all fried vadas in this jar with warm water. Leave it for 10-15 minutes. After soaking take one by one vadas in between your both hand’s palm and press it to squeeze out excess water. Now mix your curd well half liter plane water with cumin seed powder, black pepper, red chili, few cut leaves of coriander leaves, and black salt. Now put all vadas in this mixture of curd. Keep it for 20-30 minutes in curd.

How to serve:


Take this Dahi vadas in plate. Add a pinch of Chat masala, black pepper, chilli powder, black salt and corianders leaves for garnishing. Now your Dahi Vada is ready to eat.
